Bobo was locked in a stall in a dark barn for nine years. She came to CAS in 2001, the year we opened. When she arrived at CAS (she still had limited vision at that time), everything new terrified her: rain, wind, a dog barking, a car engine starting. Her response was to rear in the air. It took months of patient, gradual care to reassure Bobo that the world was not a scary place. She lost her vision several years ago, but adapted beautifully and lives a full life as CAS’s official diva.
