On October 6th, CAS staff and volunteers wound down our driveway with starving horses in tow – our newest rescues. All of the horses are severely malnourished, weighing as much as 400 pounds less than what they should. We have moved quickly to make room for the surrendered horses and are working diligently to restore their health.

“This is the one of the most disturbing cases we’ve ever seen,” says CAS founder/director Kathy Stevens.
We invite all CAS friends to make a one-time donation towards this urgent rescue or to sponsor one of the horses.
Thank you for your support of this vital work.
