In 2006, Buddy was surrendered by his former family when he lost his vision and they could no longer care for him. When Buddy arrived, he suffered from sudden and extremely dangerous panic attacks that threatened both his safety and ours. Many months of training reassured Buddy — who had been struck by a car at his former home — that unfamiliar sounds weren’t a threat. Buddy's already blind eyes caused him a great deal of pain, so we elected to have them surgically removed by our equine vet.
Now Buddy happily roams his field with his friend Mirage, a fellow blind horse. His former family is his special sponsor.
Everyone should be treated like this.
