High-strung, anxious Coco was rescued from a training and boarding facility just a mile from us. The struggling owner had too many bills and too little income; the underfed horses paid the price, and four of them came to live at Catskill three years ago.
None of the horses had been properly cared for: they were thin, wormy, and deeply mistrustful of humans. But time and time again, we’ve witnessed the healing power of patience and love, and one of the best examples of that is Coco, transformed from an extremely anxious horse who’d bolt wildly and unpredictably and was unsafe to handle, to love on four legs — thanks to the breathtaking work of our “horse whisperer” Mia Wilson.
Come meet this beautiful girl.
