Group Presentations

Ethical Choices Program_logoWe've partnered with the Ethical Choices Program to deliver FREE presentations to public and private high schools, colleges, community events, and churches. Humane educators are available to speak in states around the country.

These FREE and dynamic presentations inspire participants to develop critical thinking skills and nurture their innate sense of compassion and justice. Participation is encouraged through the use of videos, activities, and open-ended questions.

There are four FREE presentations available:

The Environment and Modern Agriculture

(45-min and 90-min long)
Students explore how the ways we raise farmed animals and crops affect ecosystems and our health: global warming, depletion of natural resources; pollution of soil, water, and air; use of pesticides, hormones and antibiotics; soil erosion and deforestation; and world hunger. They discuss alternatives to protect the environment.

Healthful Eating

(45-min and 90-min long)
Obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and other diseases are lifestyle-related. Students learn about connections between diet and health, and they discuss ways that informed dietary choices prevent or relieve diseases.

Factory Farming

(45-min and 90-min long)
More than 95% of animals raised for food in the U.S. are raised in intensive confinement facilities often called “factory farms.” Students learn the reality of how we treat animals in modern agriculture and explore the alternatives for a more compassionate and just society.

The Ethics of Eating

(90-min long)
A combination of the three above.
