Wild About Greens with Nava Atlas

Just in time for the start of CSA and farm market season, Nava Atlas, author of many well-known vegetarian and vegan cookbooks, including Wild About Greens, Vegan Holiday Kitchen, Vegan Soups and Hearty Stews for All Seasons, Vegan Express, will join us and inspire us to go beyond the usual garlic-and-olive-oil sauté and explore a wide array of other ways to use greens creatively. Her free cooking demo and tasting will include an easy, delicious dip packed with green goodness, a delectable raw kale salad, and an easy green smoothie. Nava will be available to answer your questions on leafy greens as well as on how to make plant-based eating a reality in our busy, fast-paced lives.
Leafy greens are considered the most nutritious foods on the planet, and should be part of everyone’s daily fare—though they’re especially welcome in plant-based diets, considering what a rich source of calcium and other key nutrients they are. Nava’s book Wild About Greens, which will be available to purchase, showcases the most commonly used varieties of leafy greens, including kale, collards, chard, spinach, arugula, mustard greens, and bok choy, Asian greens.
