Hermione loves everyone, whether they’re humans or goats. But if she can’t find her goat friends, she will scream until a human helps her find them! Hermione makes sure that the herd is together and taken care of, but she is a sensitive girl herself. One time, a bee sting sent her straight into the arms of a caregiver, who had to hold her until she felt better…which took all afternoon!
Hermione is a special girl, looking for new relationships with sponsors who can help her live a life of peace and security here at CAS.
One morning, an intern arrived at work to find a goat hanging around near the top of the hill. She was likely abandoned and neglected – her hooves were overgrown and rotted and she was also terribly emaciated and sick from having parasites. It was unclear if she would survive, but with proper treatment she improved remarkably within days!
Ever since the day she wandered into her forever home, Hermione has been the heart of the barn.
