Lonnie is a confident, mischievous goat with a touch of lovable sass. She loves humans and is quick to charm visitors with her affectionate side. At the same time, she enjoys keeping the free-roaming Underfoot herd on their toes, often inciting “drama” in the form of playful headbutts. She loves to tell others what to do! Regardless of the scenario, Lonnie is always carrying herself with an air effortless confidence. Lonnie is looking for sponsors that will help her rule her little world, with just enough mischief to keep life interesting!

Lonnie was born at CAS on January 23, 2016. Her mother, Jacqueline, had been rescued months earlier from a backyard slaughter operation while pregnant. At CAS, Jacqueline blossomed from a timid, terrified goat into a loving, affectionate mother as she watched her daughters grow up surrounded by care and safety. Thanks to being born at CAS, Lonnie has spent her entire life wrapped in love and surrounded by her chosen family.

For the safety of you and the animals.

GUIDELINES:

Cancellations: If a group cancels a minimum of 30 days before the scheduled tour, Catskill Animal Sanctuary will provide a full refund. If a group cancels within 30 days of the scheduled tour, no refund will be issued.
Rescheduling: While tours happen rain or shine, Catskill Animal Sanctuary may cancel if the weather is unsafe, as with unsafe road conditions, thunderstorms or lightning and/or extreme heat 90 degrees or more. Group tours can be rescheduled if that happens, or Catskill Animal Sanctuary will issue a full refund. Group tours can be rescheduled as staff schedules allow.
**VEGAN FOOD POLICY: Please note that Catskill Animal Sanctuary has a Vegan Food Policy. Out of respect for our mission, the values we uphold and the species that we advocate for, Catskill Animal Sanctuary requires that all food brought on-site be vegan. This means free of products from an animal including meat, poultry, fish, eggs, milk, cheese, animal parts, or byproducts, including honey. This also means free of animal derivatives such as broth, gelatin, rennet, lard, tallow, and no dairy derivatives such as whey or casein. We can provide suggestions to you and also recommend nearby restaurants that have options for your group as requested. Thanks in advance for your thoughtfulness, respect and understanding!
SPEED LIMIT ON SANCTUARY GROUNDS: For the safety of our free-roaming rescued residents and guests, we require a 5 MPH speed limit on all sanctuary roads.
