| At an impressive 15 years old, Amelia may be our oldest pig resident, but she’s also the most lively and energetic! Old age has not stopped this girl from causing mischief and demanding attention when she wants it. She’s very confident and is usually the “boss” of whoever she’s rooming with (currently Mario). Amelia also loves interacting with humans, but can sometimes get a bit mouthy when she’s excited or overwhelmed, so keep your fingers at a safe distance from her! Amelia’s looking for sponsors who celebrate her big, bold and beautiful personality. |
| Amelia was rescued at three months old from a notorious horse abuser in upstate New York. Authorities believed she was intended to be used as bait in dog-fighting operations. Taken from her mother far too early, Amelia required bottle feeding by hand and intensive care. She even slept in the arms of our staff and volunteers! While this may have led to her “spoiled” personality later on in life, we love to celebrate Amelia for exactly who she is. |
