Nubian Cross Wether (Goat)
| Dickon is known as the “therapy goat” of his herd. Calm and steady, he always seems to sense when other goats are nervous, often standing nearby during treatments or accompanying friends on vet visits to offer some comfort. Dickon is gentle all the way through and prefers slow moments and gentle pets. He’s often among the first to softly approach a stranger, performing a solid “vibe check” for the rest of the herd. Dickon is a gentle soul all the way through, looking for sponsors who will help keep his days calm and full of kindness at CAS. |
| Dickon was rescued on October 10, 2015, from a backyard slaughter operation in Orange County, New York. He arrived at Catskill Animal Sanctuary alongside many other goats who now make up the herd he lives in to this day! Though his early life was scary and uncertain, it didn’t take long for Dickon to take on a nurturing role in his “family,” a role that he proudly fills to this day. |
