Nina

Wooly Ewe (Sheep)
Birthdate: est. 1/1/2019
Nina is a bright and curious sheep with youthful energy! As one of the smallest sheep in the free-roaming Underfoot herd, she stands out for her friendliness (and her adorable potato-shaped figure). Nina loves attention and is usually among the first to approach visitors, especially if there’s a chance for a good back scratch. If you hit the right spot, she’ll tilt her head back in contentment! With her gentle nature and eager curiosity, Nina is looking for sponsors who support her living her best life… and who know how to give a good back scratch.

Nina was rescued the day before Easter in 2019, when a couple chose to save a life instead of taking one. They visited a live slaughter market in NYC and persuaded the owner to release a lamb to them. That lamb was Nina! Nina was very sick when she first arrived at CAS. After three months of quarantine and dedicated care, Nina fully recovered and went on to join the Underfoot herd, where she now lives safely and freely.
