| Rose Willow (AKA Rosie) is as charming as she is unique, a true “misfit” in all the best ways. She’s most famous for her signature “stargazing” habit, where she tilts her head all the way back to look up at the sky and sways gently. She has a way of making everyone feel like her favorite person, sometimes so much so that she wanders off to sunbathe near the humans and forgets where the rest of the herd went. Rosie is looking for sponsors who celebrate her for the very special goat she is! |
Rosie’s story began in Trumansburg, New York, where she was taken in by a family hoping to breed her for milk. When she tested positive for Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis (CAE), a common viral disease in goats that can be transmitted through milk, she was isolated from the herd and her family began searching for a new home. Rosie arrived at Catskill Animal Sanctuary on Valentine’s Day in 2021, and has been changing hearts and minds ever since.
