Looking for an easy vegan treat? While we can’t take credit for the original recipe, we did feel responsible for sharing it after veganizing Oreo truffles to turn them into Vegan Oreo truffles! Treats this good, this easy, and this vegan need to find their way into bellies everywhere. It’s just another example of how easy it is to go vegan.
The original recipe, wherever it originated, called for ingredients that contained dairy. With simple swaps available everywhere that sacrifice nothing in terms of taste, it seems silly to contribute to an industry that is so cruel. And Oreos are “accidentally” vegan. For information on other “accidentally” vegan foods, you can visit PETA’s website to learn more.
We used cream cheese from Treeline because it’s perfectly tangy, but check your local grocery store and you’ll be sure to find several vegan options.
So try this recipe for vegan Oreo truffles and share them near and far…but don’t forget to save some for yourself!

Vegan Oreo Truffles
Ingredients
- One package of 36 regular Oreos
- 8 ounces vegan cream cheese
- 1 cup vegan dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup vegan white chocolate chips
- Colored sprinkles, optional
Instructions
- Pulse the Oreos in a food processor until finely ground. Add the cream cheese and blend until a smooth dough forms. Line a plate or small tray with parchment. Use a portion scoop or spoon to scoop and roll the dough into truffles. Freeze them for 15 minutes while you melt the chocolate. To melt the chocolate, heat chips in a small pot over low heat. When they look like about 50% are melted, remove from the heat and stir until smooth. Vegan white chocolate in particular can seize up quickly so avoid overcooking. Use a fork to submerge truffles into the melted chocolate and return them to the lined tray. Drizzle with opposite color chocolate and, if using sprinkles, use them immediately after dipping so that they stick. Chill or freeze until ready to serve.
