School Tour Request

Thank you for your interest in Catskill Animal Sanctuary programs!!

We offer a variety of outreach program that can come to your site, as well as our extremely popular sanctuary tours. Programs are available for all ages and all of them are aligned with New York State educational standards, as well as the Humane Education Law for elementary schools.

Outreach programs are available year-round. These programs can be presented to multiple classes in a day in small or large group settings. Check out the full program listing on our website.

On a sanctuary tour, your group will have an opportunity to connect with and learn about cows, chickens, pigs, goats, and more on our 150 acre grounds. You’ll hear their powerful stories of rescue and healing, explore the plight of animals exploited for food, and learn how you can help.

    ONSITE PRESENTATIONS

    Our humane educators are now offering visits to local schools and groups to lead engaging, empowering, and fun presentations about key issues like animal protection, climate, and public health. Through critical thinking and exploration, students will consider impacts of their choices and take action about causes they care about. This is a wonderful way to deepen your experience.

    LUNCH

    You can enjoy a lunch from Mother Earth's during your visit. The food will be purchased and set up for your group. Lunch is $18 per person. The Tours Manager can provide you with the current group tour lunch menu. Group tour lunches are eaten on the Homestead lawn, and are therefore weather dependent.

    VEGAN FOOD POLICY

    Out of respect for our mission, the values we uphold, and the species for which we advocate, Catskill Animal Sanctuary requires that all food brought on-site is vegan and free of animal flesh, milk, eggs, or any ingredients from an animal. We can provide suggestions to you and also recommend nearby restaurants that have vegan options for your group, as requested.

    If a group cancels a minimum of 30 days before the scheduled tour, Catskill Animal Sanctuary will provide a full refund. If a group cancels less than 30 days of the scheduled tour, no refund will be issued. * Yes

    While tours happen rain or shine, Catskill Animal Sanctuary may cancel if the weather is unsafe, as with thunderstorms or lightning. Group tours can be rescheduled if that happens or Catskill Animal Sanctuary will issue a full refund. * Yes
