11th Annual Shindig Just Days Away

This year marks Catskill Animal Sanctuary‘s 11th Annual Shindig event! This Saturday, June 9th, all are invited to join us for vegan food demos and tastings with Chef Linda, farm tours with director Kathy Stevens, live music by Out Kind, kids’ activities, hayrides, an auction priced for every budget, delicious food, and more!

“The Shindig marks that summer has arrived at Catskill Animal Sanctuary,” said Founder/Director Kathy Stevens. “It is a true community event; a free day when everyone can enjoy the Sanctuary, meet our inspiring animals, chow down on great vegan food, and stomp their boots to the music. It is our way of giving back to a community that is so supportive of us, and it’s a way to educate newcomers about what CAS does.”

Dedicated CAS volunteer Jill Meyers is eager to show off four months of effort to create our best auction yet! “We have concert tickets, dinner for two at Mohonk Mountain House, oil paintings, Eco-Chic Urthbag handbags, brunch at Bread Alone, a children’s art basket, a weekend getaway to The Cape, movie tickets and so many more great auction items! There really is something at every price point – even if you are only looking to spend $20 you can walk away with something exciting”, said Jill.

There is even a weekend package for those who want to return to CAS! It includes a night’s stay in our 19th century guest house, The Homestead, a VIP guest pass to the Sanctuary, breakfast made by Chef Linda our certified vegan chef, dinner overlooking CAS grounds with Director/Founder Kathy Stevens, and a private sunset tour of the Sanctuary. Now what could be better than that?!
