From September 5-28, the 5th Annual Goat Games will unite 16 sanctuaries from coast to coast in a thrilling but friendly fundraising battle. The Goat Games is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a demonstration of the power of community in making a difference for farmed animals and their advocates.

Every contribution, big or small, helps provide essentials like hay, medical care, and enrichment to the animals who call Catskill Animal Sanctuary home.

How It Works:

Starting September 5, sanctuaries will face off in a bracket-style competition reminiscent of March Madness. Winners will advance to the “Champion’s Bracket”, while others get a second chance in the “Second Chance Bracket”. The excitement builds to a final round on Saturday, September 28, when the champion will be crowned!

Get Involved:

• Weekly Social Media Challenges: Show your support by posting videos of your beloved animals on Instagram stories and encourage your followers to vote with their donations. Amazing prizes await the winners!
• Power Hours: Throughout the event, designated “Power Hours” give sanctuaries the chance to boost their fundraising efforts. Teams that raise the most during these hours win generous prizes!

With donations down and costs rising at sanctuaries nationwide, we’re eager to have fun and support sanctuaries from Florida and Vermont to Texas and Oregon.

About Catskill Animal Sanctuary

Catskill Animal Sanctuary is a 115-acre refuge for 11 species of farmed animals rescued from dire circumstances such as hoarding, animal agriculture, illegal backyard slaughter operations, abandonment, and more. We offer a lifetime of care, including customized diets, spacious pastures, warm shelters, and abundant love. Through our groundbreaking educational programs, including a collaboration with New York City’s Mayor’s Office of Food Policy, we inspire visitors both virtually and onsite to explore plant-based living as the most compassionate choice for animals and the planet.

The Goat Games began in 2020 in response to urgent fundraising needs during COVID-19. We’re thrilled to see this initiative grow, supporting sanctuaries nationwide!
