Self-Care for Busy People

Ever wonder why on an airplane we are told to put our oxygen mask on first before we assist someone else? Because in order to be of service to others, we first have to take care of ourselves. Our lives are busier than ever and never before has self-care been more critical. This talk will provide you with easy-to-do but very effective ways to take care of yourself and create a self-care practice. And in that, we become better parents, partners, family, friends, employees and community members. Please join us, you need this!

Julie is a Certified Health Coach with a passion for personal growth and vegan living. Since graduating from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2013, she has coached many on the topics of nutrition, self-care and emotional eating. Julie has also worked as a corporate trainer in the field of veterinary medicine and nutrition. Recently she became certified as a Compassion Fatigue Educator for those suffering the emotional, physical and spiritual strain that can occur in helping professions. To nourish her own soul, Julie enjoys leading tours at Catskill Animal Sanctuary, photography, yoga, hiking, live music and spending time with her husband John, two pugs Virgil and Ernie and two cats Greg and Duane.
