This seems to be the week for major rescues. This one in Florida involves horse-slaughter and many instances of animal cruelty. The raid is the culmination of a SIX-MONTH investigation. In states where ag-gag laws have passed, an investigation like this would never have occurred. Luckily, an ag-gag law failed to pass in Florida in 2012. Proponents of ag-gag laws and the federal government label whistleblowers as terrorists for interfering with an animal enterprise. But watching this report, it’s clear that a “terrorist” to the animal agriculture industry is a hero to the rest of us.
