FOOLSGOLD SANCTUARY: Artists Advocate for Animals!
Exhibit Through July 23, 2011 Cocktail Reception and Silent Auction on July 23, 6-9pm This past weekend, the FOOLSGOLD SANCTUARY exhibit opened to an enthusiastic crowd of animal lovers at One Mile Gallery in Kingston, NY. Over 40 artists are featured and every single piece is inspired by a rescued animal who calls or has called CAS home. You’ll recognize your friends Amelia the piglet, Rambo the sheep, and Atlas the goat, and many more depicted in watercolor, oils, sculpture, and embroidered toile. “We are very excited to take our FOOLSGOLD mission to Upstate New York and help support such an amazing animal rescue organization,” said Shanan Campanaro and Maria Kozak, founders of FOOLSGOLD ARTS, a non-profit that curates exhibits which benefit organizations working to protect animals and the environment.  “The outpouring of so many beautiful submissions is a testament to how artistic talent can be used to help the environment and its inhabitants.” FOOLSGOLD SANCTUARY will show at One Mile Gallery through July 30, 2011, with a cocktail reception and silent auction on Saturday, July 23, 6-9pm — 40% of the proceeds will go directly to CAS. The gallery is open Saturdays 12-5, Sundays 12-4, and by appointment. For more information, contact Janet Hicks at onemilegallery@gmail.com, 845.338.2035 or 917.715.2877.
