Donate To Our Matching Grant

Just ten years ago, Catskill Animal Sanctuary was nothing more than one woman’s dream. Today, we are a thriving haven that has welcomed some 2,000 animals; a community of volunteers and supporters from around the country; a bustling kitchen and organic garden; and thousands of students learning to live compassionately. With your help, we’ve turned a dream into one of the world’s most respected sanctuaries.

With just a few weeks left to meet our $1.5 million matching grant challenge, your most generous gift now will ensure that CAS continues to thrive. We urge you to be as generous as you can, to share this blog post with your friends, and to spread the word on Facebook.

There’s no better time than now to continue your support! All donations received before Dec. 31 will count towards our $1.5 million matching grant challenge. We’re within striking distance, but have just two weeks left to meet our goal!

Donate Now!

Here are just a few reasons why your donation is critical:

  • The number of animals in desperate need has increased exponentially. Families and sanctuaries around the country are facing bankruptcy and foreclosure, and there are a disturbing number of animal hoarders masquerading as sanctuaries. This year we have welcomed 41 animals from hoarders who identified themselves as rescuers.
  • Medical expenses are approaching $60,000 this year. Our aging and special needs residents raise these costs each year.
  • The successful expansion of our education programs requires more resources.
  • Camp Kindness and Compassionate Cuisine will save more lives than rescue work alone ever could. We need resources to build dormitories, commercial kitchens, and classroom space, and expand our garden.

On behalf of our furry and feathered friends,

THANK YOU!

Warm wishes from all of us for a joyous and peaceful holiday season.
