Arline & Sergio

Arline came from our largest mammal rescue in our history, when we saved 42 sheep from horrific cruelty and neglect at a nearby slaughter operation in Fall 2022. Arline was among many of the adult sheep who suffered from extreme emaciation, high parasite counts, and hoof rot. In particular, Arline suffered from severe anemia, and her life was saved by a blood transfusion thanks to our other rescued sheep, Nina! Thanks to Nina’s heroic act, Arline was able to fully recover and safely deliver her healthy and HUGE baby boy, Sergio, on December 15th, 2022 (the last of the lambs to be born in this crew). Arline is very sweet and curious, and Sergio is a bouncing ball of energy— we’re just so happy they get to experience the rest of their lives together as a family.
