In Memoriam: Bernard

Bernard and his best friend, Calvin, came from a backyard veal operation (they were considered “byproducts” of the dairy industry). When he arrived, he was only a few days old and had to be bottle-fed by staff. Bernie lived many years with his Calvin in peace, accepting affection from staff and guests alike. Bernard, our calm and gentle boy, would even allow humans to sit and lean against him while he’s laying down for the best snuggle time! We miss him dearly.
