Collette

Collette was rescued in 2015 at the age of 10, along with 13 other horses from a Saratoga, NY, hoarder who, despite having dozens of horses, had no food for them when we arrived. Hoarding is now recognized as a mental illness. Collette is very closely bonded with her friend, Rowdy, who was rescued with her. Collette did not like humans when she first arrived, but with Rowdy’s help, she’s come around and has grown to trust people again.
