When a bankrupt industrial chicken farm closed its doors in the winter of 2018, leaving their baby chickens to freeze or starve, Keira was one of the thousands left behind. Dedicated rescuers managed to save 610 chickens, and Keira, along with 14 of her siblings, came to live at the Sanctuary, where they’ve been able to thrive, knowing love for the first time. Keira loves to sit on laps and get a nice snuggle under her wings.
