In Memoriam: Violet

Violet’s mother, Vanna, was rescued pregnant from an illegal backyard slaughter facility that was dubbed the “backyard butcher” case. Violet and her two sisters, Annie and Tula, were born on January 25th, 2016. Violet was underdeveloped when she was born, and because Vanna lived in such awful conditions for so long, Vanna rejected Violet at birth. Caregivers Kellie and Cerri bottle-fed Violet around the clock until she was big enough to join our “Underfoot Herd,” where she lived a joyful and sassy life on her own terms. Sadly, Violet passed away in 2022 and is deeply missed.
