August is Sponsor a Pig Month!

Did You Know?

Pigs are extraordinarily intelligent and insightful creatures. They form close bonds and enjoy being social. Pigs are actually very clean animals, keeping their toilet area far from

where they eat and lie down. They love to root in the dirt and lounge in the mud, especially on hot days. A pig in the mud is truly a vision of happiness.

Pigs in industrial factory farm settings spend their entire lives in cramped, filthy warehouses under the constant stress of intense confinement. Mother pigs spend most of their lives

in gestation crates too small to turn around in; separated from their babies after a few short weeks. For the few, like Nadine and Peggy Sue, who escape such deplorable lives of suffering and come to CAS, they find a refuge. In the words of Winston Churchill, “ Pigs look us straight in the eye and see an equal.”

Why Sponsor a Pig from CAS?

Our pigs live such rich lives because of support from caring and loyal sponsors. Your sponsorship donation of $60 per month helps pay for your pig’s food, bedding and vet care. Sponsoring a pig is a great way to get involved and make a difference, while gaining a new animal friend at the same time. Sponsorship also makes a great gift for the animal lover in your life. Most importantly, your sponsorship is vital to our life-saving work and makes a huge difference in the lives of desperate animals who need and deserve a 8069455669_97c524038a_ksecond chance at happiness.
