Hi, I’m Chef Linda!

I help people learn how to make vegan eating delicious and fun. Whether you’re already vegan and looking to take your cooking to the next level or just curious about plant-based eating, my cooking classes are relaxing, informative, and always joyful!

Meet Your Instructor

Chef Linda is a trained vegan chef and experienced culinary instructor with an easy, approachable style. She received her chef’s training from the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts in NYC and certification in plant-based nutrition through The Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell.

What To Expect

Our live, online classes use Zoom and run 90 to 120 minutes, with plenty of time to ask questions. Classes are recorded and included in the price, along with recipes and shopping lists. Most classes are $49 per household so you can get the whole family involved. We offer cook-along and demonstration-style classes. All classes are online for the time being. In-person classes are generally held on-site in the teaching kitchen at The Homestead on Sanctuary grounds.

Animal Cameos

No other cooking class lets you get up close and personal with our animal residents from the comfort of your home! Included in the price for each class, we invite you to tune in early to join our educators for a “behind the gates” animal cameo. You might meet Michael the turkey and her other feathered friends in the barn or Nina and a wooly pack of sheep. Maybe you’ll be introduced to Tucker, a 3,000 pound steer who gives gentle kisses.

We hosted a virtual cooking class with Chef Linda for our company to celebrate Earth Day and share vegan recipes.  Chef Linda curated a beautiful Moroccan menu for our group and we made a Moroccan carrot salad, Vegetable tagine, and a Lemon-Parsley couscous with apricots and almonds.  The carrot salad was definitely a stand-out – I couldn’t stop eating it!  Everyone in our group was raving about it the next day and we all loved our leftovers.  The class made a ton of food and left us with amazing recipes that I’ll be making again and again.  Chef Linda was easy to work with in scheduling the event, picking out our menus, and letting us know what to prepare ahead of time.  She was also patient with less experienced cooks in our group.  We can’t wait for our next cooking class with Catskill Animal Sanctuary!
