Nothing says summer like fragrant, fresh peaches, and nothing tastes as good as a cobbler made with the sweetest, juiciest pick of the bunch. What to do then, when it's cold and grey outside and the arrival of these succulent delights is still months away? Buy a bag of frozen peaches (organic, please!) and treat yourself to a summer tease by making a Peach Cobbler Smoothie.
Frozen peaches are like a burst of sunshine in a morning smoothie. Combine them with the flavors of a luscious peach cobbler…think oats and cinnamon, and the result is a healthy, creamy, treat perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Instead of yogurt or milk, cashews provide a sweet and creamy backdrop for the peaches and hemp seeds provide a delicious dose of protein. Buy an extra bunch of bananas next time you shop and let them get nice and ripe. Cut them into chunks and keep them in the freezer. Having frozen bananas on hand means you can add them to smoothies to sweeten and thicken, or blend them up with a little non-dairy milk to make nature's perfect ice cream. Add fresh seasonal berries or mangoes if you've got them.
